Welcome! My name is Tatiana, and I am a crochet designer.
I was inspired by my aunt when I visited my mother’s family in Colombia. My aunt, who is deaf-mute, is a talented artist. Although she cannot communicate orally with society, she is able to show her love and passion with her hands. Then, I was impressed with her work but was intimidated to pick up the art of crochet. Once I returned to the states, I started law school. As many of my friends and fellow students know, law school can get stressful. On a winter day, I was wearing a scarf and hat my aunt crocheted. I was stressed from finals, and I was immediately drawn to a yarn store. I can’t explain it, but I am stress-free the moment I have a ball of yarn in one hand and a crochet hook in the other. I picked up crochet in January of 2016, and I have not stopped hooking since. I love learning new patterns and sharing my designs.
What makes a crocheted item worth buying? Each crocheted item is personal and unique. There is no other item like it, even if I were to recreate it because every stitch is never identical; just like a snowflake. Although a handmade item may appear to cost more, keep in mind the product is environment-friendly (no mass production).
